Alex has been the violin teacher for my sons for 5 years and I can warmly recommend him as a very experienced teacher who is patient with my boys and inspiring them to continuously improve their skills. Prior to taking Alex’s lessons, they had been learning violin with Suzuki method, and had not been trained to read music notes, however, Alex has taught them how to read quickly and play with dynamics. Alex has been teaching my 13-year-old daughter for three years now, and the progress she’s made is unbelievable. Not only has her technique improved, but she’s also developed a real love for music. He’s firm when needed, but always kind and encouraging. Alex helped her prepare for the AMEB Grade 6 exam and the Melbourne Youth Orchestra audition (she is currently in the Melbourne Youth Chamber Strings). His wealth of experience as both a musician and a teacher is truly inspiring and continues to motivate my daughter on her violin journey.
