Anna is a passionate concert pianist based in Melbourne. She has performed as a soloist with orchestras including the Preston Symphony Orchestra, the Zelman Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Youth Orchestra and the Camberwell Camerata Orchestra. She has performed on world-class stages including the Melbourne Recital Centre, Shanghai Concert Hall and Sydney Town Hall.

Anna received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in piano performance from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, under the tutelage of Maestro Glenn Riddle. She completed post-graduate studies at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, learning under steinway artist professor Jane Xie.

She has over a decade of teaching experience, having taught all ages from 6-19. She was invited to become the piano teacher at Rowville Secondary College immediately after graduating from secondary school, where she taught piano for 7 years. She has great experience guiding students through VCE and AMEB exams, with students receivng excellent scores in these areas. She is also experienced in preparing students for competitions and eisteddfods.

My teaching philosophy is to nurture a student's love for music and develop an expansive technical capability and repertoire from a young age, rather than focusing on yearly exams that leave students with very limited repertoire. I take influence from my own experience, where rather than completing every single AMEB exam level through 1 - 8, my teacher spent time expanding my repertoire until I was ready to take the AmusA and LmusA directly. I find that students locked into regular exams spend an entire year polishing the required exam material, which leaves them with very limited repertoire and technical skills.

Due to my busy performance schedule, I am keeping my studio very small with a very limited amount of student places. This also allows me to be hyper-focussed on the development of each and every student.
