Violin/Viola Lessons

Hi I'm Anna and I graduated with my BMus in Viola in 1999 from Victoria University in Wellington. My performance experience includes solo, string quartets, symphonic orchestra, opera and ballet orchestras, music festivals, composer workshops, film and tv and recording.

I love teaching the violin and viola to people of all ages. I teach in a holistic manner - while building the string technique I incorporate rhythm work, body percussion, music theory and singing.

For the past 12 years I have also been working with kids aged 6 months - 12 years, adults and young adults with disabilities - in general music education. I have further education in music pedagogy with Kindermusik training and I have my Orff Schulwerk Level 1.

I am passionate about kids enjoying music, using their bodies and their voices to dive into the music and mastering an instrument over time.

I think anyone who wants to learn the violin and viola CAN learn! I'm here to guide you.
