  • Certificate III in Music Industry
  • Bachelors of Contemporary Music at WAAPA (set to complete November 2026)

Hi, my name is Bethany, and I’m a bass guitarist, performer, songwriter and visual artist from Perth, currently completing my final year of a Bachelor of Contemporary Music at WAAPA!

I have been playing bass for over a decade, and have spent the past four years performing professionally in the Perth music scene. I’ve performed across original projects and cover bands, as well as larger structured ensemble settings including musical theatre productions. I’ve also had the opportunity to record music, perform at festivals and organise live events, giving me experience not only as a musician, but as a professional who works collaboratively with other performers and musicians.

Music has been a huge part of my life since I was a child, and I’m passionate about sharing that enjoyment with other people. I want to teach because I know how exciting it can be to discover an instrument, learn your favourite songs and eventually develop your own sound. I believe music lessons should be a space where students can be creative, build confidence and develop a genuine love for music.

Alongside my own music career, I have over three years of experience tutoring high school students and two years of experience working with children as a Head Teacher at Code Camp. These experiences have taught me the importance of patience, encouragement and adapting the way I teach to suit each student.

As a performer and songwriter, I love the creative and collaborative side of music, and I hope to pass that enthusiasm on to my students. Whether you're just starting, learning your favourite songs or wanting to develop your skills further, I’d love to help you become a more confident and creative musician!
