I’m Charlie Winterflood (BMus, MEd), a professional double bassist currently working in primary and secondary schools. With over a decade of experience performing, touring, and recording with world-renowned Rock, Country, Latin, Jazz, and Tango ensembles, I bring a deep, practical love of music to every lesson. Having taught a wide range of instruments in classroom settings, I am experienced in supporting students with diverse abilities and unique learning needs. My teaching philosophy centres on the joy of playing; I tailor every session to the specific goals and passions of my students, helping everyone - regardless of age or experience - find their musical voice and the confidence to perform.
