Including:

• Classical double bass lessons

Vermont & Bentleigh (Melbourne VIC) · Online

For ages 8+, from beginners to advanced musicians.

Hi, I'm Erica.

My double bass lessons focus on building solid, reliable technique while also leaving space to develop your own musical voice. I teach both classical and jazz methods, and also work with singers who want to accompany themselves.

We can also work on ear training, music theory, and creative projects — always shaped around your goals and paced to support long-term growth and enjoyment.

Students I work with include:

• Total beginners starting out with jazz, folk, blues, or classical double bass

• Primary or high school students seeking lessons outside school, with or without formal goals

• Students preparing for AMEB, ANZCA, or Rockschool exams

• Electric bassists transitioning to double bass

• Classically trained players exploring jazz, folk, blues, or other contemporary styles

• Intermediate or self-taught players refining technique, building theory knowledge, or exploring improvisation and composition

• Creative or experimental musicians developing a personal voice on the instrument or using double bass in songwriting and composition

I have been teaching since 2014 and hold a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from the Victorian College of the Arts. Alongside teaching, I work as a professional vocalist, instrumentalist and producer.

Lessons are available in Vermont, Bentleigh, or online from anywhere.

I offer a free 30 minute consultation for all new students. Read more and book online at https://ericabramham.com/double-bass-lessons
