Evelyn Stephan

Evelyn Stephan is a highly qualified and experienced voice teacher, with her students performing nationally in professional musical theatre and opera. Evelyn holds a Masters of Vocal Pedagogy (Distinction) and taught in the Bachelor of Musical Theatre program at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University before going full-time in her own private studio.

Evelyn works primarily in the training and voice rehabilitation of professional performers; helping students navigate the vocal demands of the musical theatre and corporate entertainment industries. Her teaching is based on a thorough and up to date knowledge of voice science and healthy vocal technique.
She also enjoys preparing students for tertiary auditions, with students having gained entry to Musical Theatre, Classical Voice, Popular Music, and Jazz degrees (QCGU, WAAPA, NIDA).

Evelyn has been a committee member and presenter for ANATS QLD, presented her research at the ANATS National Conference, lectured in vocal health for the Australian Music Therapy Association, and run workshops in schools throughout Brisbane. Most recently, Evelyn has developed an interest in body work for singers and completed training in Manual Therapy for Voice Professionals with Annie Strauch of Performance Medicine in Sydney.
