Guitar Coaching for Singer-Songwriters

Hi, I'm Gene, and I'm a professional singer-songwriter, musician and producer who's performed at over 700 events - from solo live looping at corporate functions to leading a full band at arts festivals.

Through PHOA Studios, I work with beginner to intermediate guitarists. Whether you're a complete beginner who wants to play their favourite songs or an emerging artist looking to take things to the next level to support their creative expression, I'd love to help you break through your challenges and achieve your goals.

Some key areas I can help you with:

• Chords: Open, barre and transitions
• Strumming: Rhythm, dynamics and finger picking
• Gear: Guitars, amps, FX pedals and pedalboards
• Live looping: Timing, layers and sound
• Performance: Practice, band rehearsals and gigging
• Studio: Songwriting, recording and production
• Industry: Pathways and planning

and more!

Sessions are available both in-person and online.

If you're looking for a collaborative partner or just a one-off fresh perspective to break through a rut, drop me a message and let's chat about your goals!
