Joseph Raso is an experienced Vocal Coach and Singing Teacher with over 14 years of teaching experience, working with students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to advanced singers and aspiring professionals.
Joseph holds a Master of Music in Voice from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (2019), a Bachelor of Music from UNSW and an AMusA qualification. His professional background includes performing with Opera Australia, teaching voice at NIDA and the Australian Performing Arts Grammar School, and undertaking advanced operatic training at the Mediterranean Opera Studio and Festival in Sicily during 2018 and 2019.
Joseph's teaching approach combines established vocal principles with personalised instruction, focusing on healthy vocal development, breath coordination, resonance, vocal range, flexibility and artistic expression. Lessons are tailored to each student's individual goals, with repertoire spanning classical, musical theatre, pop and contemporary styles.
Passionate about nurturing confidence and musical growth, Joseph provides a supportive and engaging learning environment. Students also have opportunities to perform in mid-year and end-of-year concerts, developing valuable performance skills and stage experience.
