Music Theory Lessons

I am a flute, piccolo, and music theory teacher with over a decade of experience teaching students of all ages, including beginners, high school and university students, and adult learners.

Since 2015, I have taught at my private music studio in Asquith and at schools across Sydney's North Shore including, Pymble Ladies' College, Asquith Girls High School, Turramurra High School, Waitara Public School, and Normanhurst Public School. As a flautist, I perform regularly with the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra in the Chatswood Concourse.

My students have been accepted into the Sydney Conservatorium of Music High School, the Sydney Youth Orchestras, the Arts Unit's Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Orchestra, State Music Camp, the Ku-ring-gai Youth Orchestra, and the Northern Sydney Symphonic Wind Ensemble. Lessons are tailored to meet students' individual goals, whether playing for leisure or preparing for AMEB examinations (Preliminary to Certificate of Performance). I am also experienced in preparing students for selective high school entry auditions, eisteddfods, and HSC Music 2 and Music Extension.

I hold a Bachelor of Music (Performance) with First Class Honours from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, LMusA and AMusA qualifications, and am an accredited member of the Music Teacher's Association of NSW with a current WWCC. I also hold a Master of Media Practice (High Distinction) from the University of Sydney and completed the Australian Youth Orchestra's Words About Music program in 2022.

One-on-one flute and theory lessons are offered from my home studio in Asquith or online.
