Violin Teacher - Hurlstone Park

Welcome!

My name is Khang Mai, and I’m a dedicated and enthusiastic violin teacher based in the Inner West of Sydney, offering lessons for students of all ages and skill levels.

With a wide range teaching experience across schools, private studios, and as a teaching assistant to Leigh Middenway, I aim to build strong technical foundations while fostering musicality, confidence, and genuine enjoyment of playing.

As an active performer, I have held principal and concertmaster positions with organisations including the Australian Youth Orchestras, the Sydney Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra, The Sydney Youth Orchestra, and The Arts Unit Orchestra. This performance experience allows me to guide students not only in technique, but also in ensemble playing, audition preparation, and stage presence.

What I offer:

• Individualised lessons tailored to each student
• Support for AMEB exams, auditions, and competitions
• Technique, repertoire, and musicianship development
• A positive and motivating learning environment
