I am a recording artist and professional musician with over 10 years of performing experience, and love to pass on what I have learned to other budding musicians. I have a Bachelor of Music from the Australian Institute of Music majoring in voice and guitar, and a Masters of Teaching from the University of Melbourne.
I teach both singing and acoustic + electric guitar (and basic piano), drawing from my experience in many rock bands and acoustic performances. I like to cater my lessons based around what you're into, meet you where you're at, and will provide exercises to help you towards your musical goals. This makes it a lot more fun, too. It doesn't matter if you're just starting out and wanting to learn how to sing in tune, or have been playing guitar a long time and looking to improve your improvisation skills.
Most of the time I am playing guitar and singing simultaneously - so if you are looking to learn how to do this, I can help!
I have a home studio at my place in Northcote, which provides recording opportunities to track your progress and my professional equipment, or I am happy to travel around the inner north to provide lessons for kids, for a small extra fee.
