Kyle Muir guitar lessons

Hi there!

I’m Kyle, a guitarist, producer and songwriter. I’m an honours graduate from the VCA and have been playing guitar for over 15 years. I’ve taught hundred of students over my eight year teaching career, some of whom have gone on to pursue music professionally.

I currently teach at Braemar College and John Marsden’s Candlebark School but am expanding my practice by taking on a limited number of private students. I am comfortable teaching all ages at any level of experience. I’ve taught students from as young as 4 and as old as 80. I believe that anyone can develop musical skills, they just need the right guidance. Whatever your goals, I can help you achieve them. Be it reading music, composing original work, or simply jamming with others. Together, we can tailor an approach that works for you.

I play professionally in many touring bands, including my own folk band ‘Wybie’ that I compose, perform and tour with regularly. I also manage and play in funk band Big Soap, have written music and played with RAT!Hammock, Cacartu, and Isobel Caldwell to name a few. I recently released my first record on vinyl and have been recorded on over 10 other releases.

I also have experience with teaching beginner to intermediate drums, bass and vocals. If you want to learn about music recording or production, my music studio in Coburg North is the perfect space to learn in.
