Double bass lessons

In 2024 I was the double bass Fellow with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and in 2025 was the double bass fellow with the Opera Australia Orchestra.

I am currently freelancing, playing at a full time load with Opera Australia, and also playing frequently with the Sydney Symphony and Queensland Symphony orchestras.

I studied double bass at the University of Queensland, under the guidance of Phoebe Russell, principal double bass of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.

During my studies I played in many AYO programs, frequently as principal and associate principal.

I am passionate about teaching, and love to share my knowledge with others. My teaching style is focused on understanding, while keeping a relaxed and low pressure environment to allow my students to build their confidence and ability at their own pace.
