I am an award winning songwriter who has been writing, touring and recording songs for 30 years. I have been teaching voice, guitar and songwriting for 20 years.

If you play an instrument that’s great, but it’s not necessary. Many songs are written with only the voice. We’ll explore the art of writing songs including:

lyric writing,
rhyming,
melody,
song structure,
subject matter,

How to channel your emotions, views, stories and ideas into your songs. We also learn about collaboration and how to work with a partner and in a group. We’ll do simple recordings of the songs as part of the class.

I also teach classes on demand for groups of 3 people or more.These can be in your home or office or at my home studio.

I coach songwriters who are already writing songs but need some guidance or outside ears and I work with beginners.
