Singing Lessons

It can be frightening to get started in singing. That's why I offer a free 60 minute initial lesson to all new students.

I focus on creating a safe, friendly space where students can learn to better control their voices without fear of embarrassment. My performance background is in Music Theatre and Improv Comedy, so I know the value of being bold and emotional as a singer, and also the value of making mistakes. My goal is for every student of mine to develop a hungry and fearless curiosity about the capabilities of their own voice.

My lessons start with a warmup honing sustainable vocal technique, moving onto exercises tailored to each student's focus areas. Then we work on applying that technique to a song as we add in emotional and performative elements.
