Professional French Horn Lessons

As a teacher, Nicholas brings a practical, supportive approach focused on sound, technique, musical confidence, and real-world orchestral skills, helping students of all levels work toward their individual goals.

I am the Section Principal Horn of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and an experienced performer and teacher with an international career. I studied at the University of Sydney and Sydney Conservatorium before holding principal horn positions in Europe and performing extensively with leading orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, and London Philharmonic Orchestra.

I have worked with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Esa-Pekka Salonen, and Herbert Blomstedt, and can be heard on major film, television, and video game soundtracks including Star Wars, Avatar, and Marvel.
