Novelyne is a pianist, music educator and Registered Music Therapist based in Melbourne’s western suburbs. With a background in classical music and many years of experience working with children and adults, she brings a warm, flexible and individualised approach to piano teaching.
Novelyne completed her Bachelor of Arts in Music, graduating Cum Laude from Universitas Pelita Harapan Conservatory of Music in Indonesia, before moving to Melbourne to complete her Master of Music Therapy at the University of Melbourne, graduating with Second Class Honours Division A.
Alongside her work as a Registered Music Therapist, Novelyne has experience teaching piano to children with a range of learning styles and abilities. Her background in music therapy has shaped her student-centred approach to teaching, with an emphasis on understanding each student's individual strengths, interests and learning needs.
Novelyne aims to create a supportive and enjoyable environment where students can develop strong musical foundations while building confidence and a genuine enjoyment of music. Lessons can be adapted to each student's goals, whether they are learning piano for enjoyment, developing their technique and musicianship, or working towards more structured musical goals.
She particularly enjoys working with children and neurodivergent students, and welcomes students who may benefit from a patient, flexible and strengths-based approach to learning music.
