Piano Lessons

I have been playing the piano for 20 years and have received my AMEB AMusA (Associate in Music) with distinction in 2020. I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Music (Honours) at UQ in 2021, specialising in Piano Performance. I have a lot of experiences in teaching, performing, and accompanying for ensembles and exams.

Based on my own experiences, I especially take care of my students' gestures and positions while learning to play the piano as this is a fundamental part that helps them further develop their performance skills. This is an important skill that helps strengthen their basis and works the best while they are still beginners. It helps with musical shaping and expressivity in different ways.

Students at all ages are welcomed. I am also a blue card holder which allows me to legally work with children under age of 18. I also have experiences of preparing students for AMEB exams, so students who requires preparation for exam are very welcomed.

I teach classical pieces as well as any songs (pop music) that students would enjoy playing. If you have a special interest in romantic or minimalistic pieces, you are more than welcome to have lessons with me as I am a huge romantic music enthusiast.

I speak fluent English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Lessons are held at students' home mainly, prices might vary depending on the distance.
