Restart Guitar Academy

Hi, I’m Nick J Harvey guitarist, songwriter, producer, and tutor with over 25 years of real-world playing, recording, and teaching experience. I teach in Werribee and online.

Restart Guitar Academy is built specifically for adult beginners and returning players who want to finally understand the guitar, not just copy shapes from tabs or YouTube videos.

My teaching focuses on building strong musical foundations through what I call the Triangle of Musicianship: rhythm, melody, and harmony. When these three elements are clear, everything becomes easier — timing improves, chords make sense, the fretboard opens up, and playing starts to feel musical rather than mechanical.

I create a supportive, pressure-free learning environment and tailor every lesson to the student’s goals, pace, and musical tastes. Whether you’re picking up the guitar later in life or coming back after a long break, I help you build confidence, consistency, and genuine musical understanding.

Lessons are practical, encouraging, and focused on progress — not overwhelm.
