Violin Lessons / Professional Consultation

Hi there, my name is Rhys!

I am a violinist at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, studying classical violin performance. Teaching violin is one of my passions in and amongst my performance career, and I have taught violin for 7 years, both privately, and through the private education system.

As a teacher, and player, I am very analytical - diving deep into technique, as well as musicality are my strengths. For this reason, I prefer to work with students who are willing to engage in, or have been familiar with preparation for AMEB examinations, or public competitions.

Working in music retail for the last 3 years, and training in luthery has also taught me a lot about these beautiful instruments we play - and I am willing to offer my expertise to parents and students who are looking to purchase good quality instruments and equipment.

Don't hesitate to get in touch with me, for lessons, advice, or even pairing with the right strings, or chin rests - I can just about do it all!
