Singing is a wonderful form of self
expression and builds a sense of wellbeing , self esteem and health. Celebrate your unique voice and develop confidence and skills both technically and musically.

All ages and experience are welcome - from 8 to 85+- beginners, choristers, actors, singer songwriters through to professionals.
Artarmon studio lessons are available to students in a delightful historic home set in private gardens. A lovely Kawai GX2 grand piano will accompany you in style!
Online lessons via zoom are available for any students as an adjunct to studio work but live lessons are encouraged if possible.
Online lessons are ideal for interstate remote and overseas students. Neurodivergent singers are welcome and an individual student based program is offered to respond to unique needs.

I am happy to prepare singers for exams, auditions ,eisteddfods and competitions...if that is your goal.

Singing promotes self expression and creativity and enhances both physical and mental wellbeing.

I also offer work on sight singing ,musicianship and theory and mentoring for songwriters.
My students perform widely in choirs shows and concert settings and I hold regular studio concerts for them to perform with each other for friends and family.

I believe everyone can sing well with positive guidance to achieve healthy vocal technique and release their full potential .

Sing the songs you love- I teach a wide range of styles including contemporary, classical, jazz, music theatre and opera. I have performed in many styles myself and have over 40 years experience as a music professional and teacher. I play piano to professional level and can make piano backings for you to rehearse and perform with at no extra cost.
I also have a large digital and paper library of sheet music.
Microphone techniques are offered as are lessons where the student plays piano and sings. Guidance is given in piano and guitar techniques to read chord charts and adjust accompaniments to balance with songs.

Lessons are paid by the week or in advance with no obligation to pay in terms. I generally recommend weekly lessons of an hour , but this is negotiable according to your special needs and budget. Fortnightly and casual lessons by arrangement.

My fees are $120 per hour ,
$100 for 45 min.
I am not offering 30m lessons.
