My intensive holiday lessons are designed to help you complete your online AMEB Theory of Music exam. We offer either one-hour online Zoom lessons or two-hour studio lessons.
The school term is busy, so let’s make the most of the holiday to learn online and prepare for your exam. I have students from all over Australia and have observed a positive progression in their learning and exam results. I also provide students’ progress to parents for easy visibility.
Using original memos that summarise key points from various theory books. I also use “How to BLITZ Theory” or AMEB Theory of Music workbook.
- Online Zoom sessions: to learn new chapters from the book and my original summary memo.
- Homework check: I will review your homework, including cadences, harmony writing and melody writing. Feedback will be sent via the student and parent group chat (WhatsApp) or email before your lesson, allowing us to use your next lesson to reinforce new material.
- Extensive practice material for melody writing and harmonising four-voice harmony for Grade 4 to 6.
- Explanation set work: Grade 4 Baroque suites and Grade 5 and 6 set-work with original summary memos.
- High student satisfaction with the theory, with most achieving a High Distinction or Honor in the AMEB theory and musicianship exam. Students are now also enjoying writing four-voice parts and melodies.
Theory of Music: Grade 3 to 6
*Learning correct cadences in Grade 3 to facilitate a smooth transition to Grade 4 harmony. melody.
- Teach advanced skills for Harmony four-part vocal and piano-forte style, melody writing and two-part writing.
- Provide detailed explanations for the dance suite and set work for Grades 4, 5 and 6.
- Include numerous examples and practice questions to reinforce the skills.
Theory Lessons:

- Homework check: 15 minutes free with a written comment.
Piano Lessons:
- Piano Safari, AMEB program and Suzuki method.
Violin Lessons and Coaching:
- AMEB program, Essential Element and Suzuki method.

- Ueno Gakuen University, Bachelor of Music, Psychology for Educating Children and Domestic Science.
- AMEB Piano AMusA, AMEB Theory of Music Grade 6 (Honour 94/100), Theory AMusA, Suzuki Violin and AMEB Violin Grade 8 level.
- Other: Orthomolecular Nutrition Advisor, Computer Science and Server Engineer at IBM for 10 years.
- Languages: Japanese and English.
- Accompaniment for AMEB.
- QMTA registered teacher.
