Hi, I’m Yvonne — a Sydney Conservatorium of Music graduate with over 16 years of piano teaching experience. I’ve taught music across Primary and Secondary levels at Oxford Falls Grammar School and Meriden School, and also ran my own music school for 4 years before taking time to focus on personal health and creativity.

My teaching philosophy is simple: music should be experienced, not just practiced. I believe every child (and adult!) deserves to explore music through listening, singing, composing, and creating — not only preparing for exams. Lessons are fun, engaging, and tailored to each student’s goals, with a balance of structure and creative freedom.

I make expectations clear from the start and aim to create the best match for each student — and if we’re not the right fit, that’s perfectly okay.

I also welcome adult students who want to learn piano for a special occasion (like a wedding performance) or just for the joy of it. As a vocalist myself, I offer combined piano and vocal lessons for those who want to strengthen both skills.

Ultimately, my goal is for my students to enjoy music wholeheartedly — to hear a tune at the mall and be able to play it when they get home, for the pure love of music.
