Zuzanna Cymer

Hi! My name is Zuzanna, and I’m a professional pianist and experienced piano teacher based on the Gold Coast.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from the Academy of Music in Poland, where I also completed my pedagogical training in music education. I have been teaching piano for several years across Poland, the United States and Australia, working with students of different ages, levels and learning styles.

I currently work at The Southport School (TSS) as a Piano Tutor and Accompanist, teaching students individually and supporting young musicians in performances and examinations.

My teaching style is warm, patient and encouraging. I especially enjoy working with children and creating lessons where they feel comfortable, supported and excited to learn. I believe that every child learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to each student’s personality, interests and individual pace.

While I have a strong classical background, lessons don’t have to be purely classical. Depending on the student, we can explore classical music, contemporary songs, technique, sight-reading, music theory and preparation for AMEB exams and performances. My goal is to build strong musical foundations while keeping lessons enjoyable and motivating.

I also studied at the Conservatorio di Musica in Cagliari, Italy, as part of an international student exchange, which further broadened my musical education and experience.

Most importantly, I want my students to enjoy coming to their piano lessons, feel proud of their progress and develop a genuine love for music.
