Oboe lessons

My specialist instrument is Oboe, on which I have performed professionally, as well as tutored for 40 years. As a teacher, my goal is to get results from my students, while encouraging the love of music which i have myself: I have seven students who have won scholarships during tutition with myself. In 2025 one student won the SA Eisteddfod under 11 section, and two more students gained places in the Adelaide Youth Orchestra. Many of my students are now performers and tutors themselves. Oboe is a classical instrument and this is the style taught, though we can play popular tunes also.In addition I tutor advanced players in Oboe Reed making, and adjustment, which is an essential skill for all good players, giving them an edge over students relying on others for this service.
