Ensemble

Our String Ensemble gives students the opportunity to develop their musicianship through collaborative group playing in a supportive environment.

The ensemble’s instrumentation varies from term to term and may include cello, violin, and viola, with repertoire and parts thoughtfully arranged to suit the players involved. This flexible approach allows students of different levels to participate meaningfully and grow together.

Students develop essential ensemble skills such as listening, balance, rhythm, blend, and musical communication, while building confidence playing as part of a group. Ensemble participation complements individual lessons and encourages a deeper understanding of music-making.

Regular performance opportunities provide valuable experience and foster teamwork, confidence, and enjoyment of music.
