My lessons are aimed at developing a well-rounded musician and cover scales, technical work, sight-reading, aural training, rudiments of music, musical styles, music appreciation and theory. As I align my teaching closely with the graded requirements of the Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) syllabus, students progress through the grades even if they they choose not to sit for their practical or theory exams. I do not use exams as a teaching tool but as an external assessment tool.

Lessons are on a once weekly basis and run through the school holidays. Please book a free trial lesson and consultation before commencing.

Pre-requisites:

1. All students must have an acoustic piano, or at least a full-sized digital keyboard.
2. All students must endeavour to attend lessons regularly as this is part of a two-way commitment.
3. Preferably have internet access and a computer at home for online theory practice and aural training.
