Matt Bryant, a versatile musician and keyboard virtuoso, hails from Campbelltown, Australia, with a musical journey that has taken him on a fascinating path. His early connection to music was sparked when he started learning the melody of "Do Re Mi" on a toy piano. Although he briefly lost interest, his musical flame was reignited in primary school when he joined the school band and learned to play the trumpet, laying the foundation for reading sheet music.
However, it was the iconic artists Michael Jackson and Prince who truly transformed Matt's life. Michael Jackson's music and videos left an indelible mark, inspiring him to dance and kindling a profound love for music. Years later, Prince's masterpiece "Purple Rain" and the song "The Beautiful Ones" had a profound impact on Matt. Witnessing Prince's mastery of multiple instruments motivated him to return to the piano with renewed determination and passion.
As an educator, Matt aims to share the deep connection he has with music with his students. He hopes they will feel the same fulfilment and passion for music that he experiences. Matt is also an integral part of the band "Gravity Stone," where he showcases his keyboard skills, plays the keytar, and lends his backing vocal talents. The band has been active since January 2019, regularly recording and releasing new music while delivering memorable live performances at renowned venues.
Matt's musical journey involved self-exploration, learning from YouTube tutorials, and formal education at School of Rock Macarthur, significantly enhancing his musicianship. If he were granted a wish to improve his musical abilities, it would be for an amazing singing voice. His musical influences include legends like Prince, Michael Jackson, and The Beatles. His favourite records include "The Wall" by Pink Floyd, "Bad" by Michael Jackson, and "Purple Rain" by Prince.
