As your piano keyboard teacher/coach Stevi will equip you with basic keyboard skills, music knowledge, hints and tips so that you can play your favourite songs, play with others or compose and play for your own expression and enjoyment.

Lessons involve piano keyboard technique, practical music theory and expressive and creative playing
• tips on playing the keys – posture, hand shape, finger awareness and technique – keyboard notes and patterns – scales, intervals, triads, inversions, chord extensions
• playing songs – how songs are built and music theory – easy playing chords and chord progressions – the importance of tempo, rhythm and accent – styling/genre techniques – using internet resources
• playing for pleasure – creating your own music – simple improvisation

along with
• learning to play and work with other musicians

Stevi has played and loved the piano since she was 9 years old. She still plays for her own enjoyment and has a special interest in teaching beginners of all ages, instilling in them a life-long love of music as a form of personal discovery and expression.
