Yanai teaches beginners to advanced students, specialising in helping children and adults develop resilience, creativity and emotional intelligence through fun, engaging music lessons and workshops. Teaching ukulele and guitar, Yanai helps people express their energy and personality through their music as well as teaching an innovative approach to making mistakes that helps students build skill and confidence through creative problem solving and harnessing their own learning style.
Yanai strongly believes that the ukulele is the best first instrument for children, winning hands down in the areas of technical ease, size, versatility and affordability. Yanai has combined his unique approach to music teaching with his love of ukulele to develop the Uke4Kids program which is taught by Yanai online as well as in primary schools in Melbourne.
Yanai has been in the business of making music since he was 9. In his career as a student, performer and recording artist he has performed in a massive variety of ensembles and bands, written and composed numerous songs and instrumentals and released two independent albums. He has Diploma of Music Performance from Melbourne Polytechnic, and many years experience in teaching music.
